Text Box: CEWARN Reporter

The CEWARN Reporter is a database system with a visualization that assists in the data management and analysis. Using the situation and incident reports the display module within the Reporter system produces visualized charts. The chart categories include discrete events (Incidents) and event outcomes (Outcomes) and also sets of indicators that reflect peace and conflict precursors. In addition, the statistical functions that are built into the CEWARN reporter are used to provide the analyst with a picture of the overall contours of the data, particularly deviations from the baselines that can signal abrupt escalation/de-escalation in data trends. The system was developed by Virtual Research Associates (VRA) Boston, USA.
